My Story
I can't believe I've been painting since 2014!
Here's my story:
How Hard Could It Be?
When my son turned two, I wanted to throw him the best birthday party ever. I planned everything—the decorations, the snacks, the Perry the Platypus cake. But something felt missing. Then, I had an idea: face painting!
It seemed like a no-brainer. Kids love it, and how hard could it be?
I went to the Michael's and picked up a cheap set of face paints, a few brushes, and some sponges. I practiced only 2 things - a rainbow swirl and Olaf.
I did the best that I could do with the little practice that I had but the kids LOVED IT and I was hooked.
I had a line of kids waiting their turn! That day I realized something: this was fun. Hard? Absolutely. But fun.
After the party, I went home, exhausted but exhilarated. My son, still wearing the smudged remnants of an Olaf on his cheek, wrapped his chubby arms around me and said, “Mama, I like paint.”
And that was it. The spark had been lit.
I spent the next few months watching tutorials, learning proper techniques, and upgrading my supplies. My “How hard could it be?” moment turned into a passion, and before I knew it, I was painting at birthday parties, festivals, and corporate events.
Now, over a decade later, I look back at that messy Olaf and smile. Because sometimes, the best adventures start with a simple question: How hard could it be?
